Join us at Kingsland Homestead for a book talk about Social Justice in Queens and greater NYC!

In Fighting for New York, public health scholar and activist Nicholas Freudenberg chronicles six decades of grassroots movements that have fought for health, equity, and social justice across New York City. From the Young Lords and ACT UP to today’s movements for affordable housing and environmental justice, Freudenberg reveals how ordinary New Yorkers have shaped the city through collective action. The book offers both a compelling history of New York activism and practical lessons for building movements and creating lasting change.
