Hispanic Heritage Month Exhibit

LaGuardia Airport Redevelopment and QHS celebrated the successful launch of the LatinaX Community Leaders of Queens Exhibit

Location: Marine Air Terminal (Terminal A), La Guardia Airport, Queens, NY

 

Queens Historical Society, LaGuardia Airport Redevelopment, and the Port Authority of NY and NJ have produced a joint project on the importance of LatinaX heritage in the Borough of Queens. The purpose of the program is to provide visitors with a range of exhibitions that represent the diversity of human achievement, particularly with respect to the local Queens communities. The aim of the project is also to enrich the public experience and differentiate the historic Marine Air Terminal as unique from any other airport terminal in the world.  Past exhibits have included the following celebrations and observances:  African American History Month, National Women’s History Month, LGBTQ Pride Month, Autism Awareness Month and Aviation History Month, among others.
